Stella Rivers art is created from a place within her that is filled with love. . . a love of color. . . a love of nature. . . and, a love of life.
The design elements of each original mixed media piece are created individually, using a combination of watercolor, chalk pastel and colored pencils. She then cuts, collects and composes each piece until she feels the artwork "dances" with a special life and character of its own.

Stella is originally from the East Coast, where she received a BFA from Boston Museum School of Fine Arts. After graduation, she created a design studio and fabric boutique in Amherst Massachusetts, specializing in hand-printed fabric. For the past 30 years she has called Maui home, licensing her artwork and designs to companies around the world.
You likely have already seen Stella's colorful designs on home textiles, women's apparel, ceramics, paper products and fashion accessories in Bloomingdales, Sak's Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Macy's and numerous other elegant department stores and specialty shops.

Now, with great enthusiasm and artisitic energy, Stella Rivers turns her talents exclusively toward creating fine art originals and prints. . . all of which reflect her carefree, fun-filled, vibrant, joyous and colorful world view.
